The Pharmacy Assistant ensures all investigational products are handled according to GCP Guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of Pharma Medica Research Inc (PMRI).

This position reports to the Manager, Pharmacy and/or designate.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Inventory of all investigational products received at PMRI.
  • Dispensing/repackaging of all investigational products prior to each study period (as per SOP).
  • Preparation of investigational product as per protocolspecific procedures.
  • Handling and reconciliation of all investigational products received at PMRI for studies.
  • Create and maintain applicable pharmacy documentation for each study conducted.
  • Review all storage conditions, and ensure that the storage requirements are maintained and recorded.
  • Ensure investigational product is in the clinic on time prior to each study.
  • Liaise with Project Management department regarding receipt, handling and return of all investigational products.
  • Responsible for archiving investigational products.
  • Maintaining the randomization scheme/schedule for each study.
  • Responsible for crash cart maintenance.
  • Assisting on study (i.e. investigational product administration, vital signs, health monitoring)
  • Responsible for Editing/Revision of SOP's.
  • Other duties as required.
