CNC Laser Operator

We are hiring an experienced Laser Operator for our client located in Mississauga. The client's company is in the business of Steel Fabrication.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate laser cutting machines to cut steel plates, sheets, and structural components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Program machine parameters, such as speed, power, and focal length, for efficient and accurate cutting.
  • Monitor machine operations and adjust as necessary to ensure quality and precision in cutting.
  • Conduct regular inspections of finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on laser machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and workflow.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming laser machines.
  • Previous experience as a Laser Operator or similar role in a steel fabrication environment.
  • Proficiency in operating laser cutting machines, preferably with experience in cutting steel.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problemsolving skills.
  • Knowledge of laser safety protocols and procedures.

Location:
Mississauga

Shift time: 8 am to 4:30 pm (Mon - Fri)

Pay Rate:
$19/hr.

Job Types:

Salary:
$19.00-$20.00 per hour
