QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Graduate of a Medical Office Assistant program or the equivalent in related experience
  • Medical Terminology Certificate and must be proficient in Diagnostic Imaging terminology
  • A minimum of one year Community Wide Scheduling (CWS) experience.
  • High degree of accuracy in keyboarding skills with minimum 45 wpm.
  • One year experience of computers and computer programs including knowledge of Microsoft Office and Meditech.
  • Evidence of effective customer service, organizational, interpersonal, communications, judgment and decisionmaking skills.
  • Knowledge of office equipment (telephone, fax, photocopiers).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to respect the confidentially of personnel and patient information.
  • Demonstrated professional attitude while interacting with the public, patients, employees and medical staff.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Must be available for all shifts, vacation replacement, sick time and paid holidays.
  • Flexible, selfdirected and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision o Consistent and regular attendance required.
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset.
  • Vaccines (COVID19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
