We are hiring an Associate Analyst, Commercial Quality Assurance

The Role:


The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the review and assessment of loans to maintain the desired level of quality in service or product by means of attention to every stage of process of delivery and/or production.


In each phase of the mortgage cycle, including underwriting, funding, renewals, assumption and servicing, there is the expectation to evaluate the files, ensure compliance of the company policy guidelines, notate any discrepancies, and perform trend analysis to better the process.


The incumbent will contribute to a strong risk management culture through collaboration with other functions of the business to ensure the quality of work mitigates various types of risk.

What you will do:

  • Ensure Quality Assurance Reviews are conducted in a timely, efficient and objective manner
  • Quality Assurance Analyst will review loans to determine if company policies and procedures were followed and that prudent business decisions were made.
  • Update reporting spreadsheets accurately maintaining the integrity of the information.
  • Analyze root causes, patterns, or trends to assist with the development and implementation of internal controls.
  • With an eye to continuous improvement, identifying process improvement opportunities based on the findings of operational effectiveness testing.
  • Developing and maintaining key relationships with business units and other areas within the Commercial Team.
  • Origination, Funding, Renewals, Servicing, Compliance and AML departments.
  • Support the internal and external audit processes as directed by manager.

The Requirements Needed:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clear and detailed explanation, analysis and recommendations.
  • Critical Thinker
  • Detail-Oriented
  • Knowledgeable with investor, mortgage insurance and underwriting guidelines
  • University degree or postsecondary education and/or equivalent work experience
  • Must have experience/knowledge of commercial financing (origination, servicing, funding and/or renewals) 2 years minimum
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage operations, processes, products and services
