A Swim Instructor at British Swim School teaches swim lessons to children and adults, starting at 3 months old using our fun, gentle and progressive methods.

You will receive training to build your confidence and ability to work with a variety of swimmers and abilities.

Having fun and interacting with our swimmers is an important part of the role A strong focus is placed on providing survival swim techniques living out the British Swim School mission and making a big impact on decreasing drowning.


Your Typical Responsibilities:

  • Support the Aquatics Manager and/or Business Owner(s)
  • Follow British Swim Schools curriculum to ensure safe and competent lessons and environment.
  • Work evenings (4pm8pm), Saturdays (10am
  • 4pm) Sundays (14), and holidays as required by business needs.
  • Maintain certifications throughout employment.
  • Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and stand in the water for up to 3 consecutive hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enthusiastic personality
  • Experience in the water teaching.
  • Comfortable in and around the water.
  • Must maintain certifications throughout the length of employment.
  • Must complete all required British Swim School Aquaticsspecific training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children.
  • Swimming experience: 12 years preferred.
  • Customer service skills: 1 year preferred.
  • Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) required.

Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Evening shift
  • Every Weekend
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
