Job Summary:


The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for the business management in the automation market for equipment, machine and robot cells.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow new business as per annual forecast.
  • Attract new customers, aiming for open nonautomotive new business.
  • Constantly monitoring the global and regional automation market, reporting the market trends, investments, customer's projects, competitor movements, competitiveness level and any variable of this environment.
  • Develop a clear and achievable sales strategy based on the goals and objectives
  • Building a strong professional relationship with the customers and potential customers while gaining trust with and ability to influence decision making
  • Manage the customer accounts by being capable to negotiate prices, projects changes, contracts and communicate open issues, such as purchase orders and payments status.
  • Work closely with project managers, following up the projects timelines and milestones
  • Utilize the relationship with contacts of the customers to approve the project with the outlined milestones
  • Work with the technical team to develop technical presentations to assure the best promotion of products for customers and to generate new sales.
  • Prepare and present the following, but not limited to, sales call reports, periodic activity reports, sales forecasts, sales presentations, market share analyses, and other competitive information, etc., for our internal organization.

  • Excellent communication, persuasion and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong presentation / facilitation skills as well as the ability to effectively respond to any questions.
  • Preexisting business network, having relevant connection with companies and contacts in the market.
  • Excellent planning and data organization.
  • B2B marketing strategy knowledge.
  • Understanding customer technical and commercial requirements.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process of several materials including but not limited to stamping, welding and assembling.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong Negotiation and interpersonal skills

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of Sales or Account Management experience and/or
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Business related field with a minimum of 10 years' experience in technical sales
  • Industrial marketing experience considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to organize, manage projects and multiple tasks.
  • Experience in Automation is an asset
  • Result oriented with fluent English language skills including both verbal and written. Additional language skills will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
