University Health Network (UHN) is looking for an experienced professional to fill the key role of
Medical Administrative Assistant II in the division of Psychosocial Oncology within the Department of Supportive Care.

The Department of Supportive Care (DSC) consists of three divisions - Psychosocial Oncology, Cancer Rehab & Survivorship, and Palliative Care.

This role is to support the Psychosocial Oncology program.

POSITION:


The Conversation Lab is an is an educational and system-based initiative created to improve serious illness care and is made possible with generous support given to the UHN Foundation.

Its vision is a health care system where every clinician is trained and empowered to skillfully discuss what matters most with their seriously ill patients and families.

As the program is in its 'building phase', the Knowledge Exchange Specialist will support the program in various ways including creative content creation and adaptation, educational course organization and oversight, and quality improvement/research initiatives evaluating the program.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters degree in Education or Communications field or recognized equivalent required
  • Minimum three (3) years appropriate professional experience
  • Instructional Design diploma/ certificate diploma or equivalent) preferred
  • Knowledge Translation diploma/ certificate diploma or equivalent) preferred
  • Ability to facilitate, influence and lead others
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of design and eLearning/ web software (e.g., Articulate/Rise360, Canva an asset)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with others in a consultative/collaborative manner, including presenting program content to key stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required (content analysis and writing are a significant component of this role's responsibilities)
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer relations and support service
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
  • Selfmotivated, curious, and able to work independently
  • Knowledge of healthcare environment an asset
