What you will do
Under the supervision of the director of Éducation inclusivie au secondaire , the provincial learning specialist will play a crucial role in the implementation of the new Grade 9 numeracy course and the optimization of the accompanying digital learning resource.
Specific duties:

  • Promoting optimal use of digital educational resources.
  • Collaborating with the provincial numeracy team and Francophone school districts.
  • Establishing open and regular communication to identify new course and resource implementation challenges and needs.
  • Supporting Francophone school districts in adapting and implementing the curriculum and resource according to their contextual realities.
  • Encouraging collaboration between teachers to foster mutual teaching assistance.
  • Supporting the deployment of the curriculum and resource.
  • Sharing the teaching materials developed with the educational community to promote the richness and diversity of resources available.
  • Collecting data on the use of the new course and digital learning resource.
  • Analyzing data collected to identify trends, challenges and successes.
  • Collecting data on the use of the new numeracy course and digital learning resource.
  • Cooperating and developing partnerships.

Who you are
You have excellent communication, collaboration and teamwork skills, a sense of leadership and a desire to contribute to the improvement of the French-language education sector.

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Need to have (their essential skills and qualifications)

  • A master's degree in Education and a minimum of six (6) years' teaching experience in an inclusive K-12 public education system OR a bachelor's degree in Education and a minimum of seven (7) years' related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.

Knowledge of spoken and written French is required. Please specify your language skills.

Wage
Pay Band 7: $88,712 to $107,328 annually

Work environment

  • Office location: 250 King Street, Fredericton. Telework in New Brunswick supported.
  • Office layout: Enclosed office.
  • Team of about 20 professionals. The team works closely with the entire Francophone education sector.
  • Standard hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
