Receptionist - Administrative Assistant


Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company currently hiring a Receptionist - Administrative Assistant to join our team working at our Steinbach office.

As the administrative assistant you need to be professional, polite, and attentive while also being accurate. You should always be prepared and responsive, willing to meet each challenge directly. Administrative assistants must be comfortable with computers and general office tasks. Penn-co offers an excellent benefits package and competitive salary.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude
  • Answering phones in a welcoming manner and routing calls as necessary
  • Organize and schedule meetings
  • Assisting colleagues with a variety of administrative tasks including printing drawings, creating binders, and updating/maintain documents
  • Making arrangements with couriers
  • Receive, sort, and distribute the mail
  • Order office supplies and equipment as required by team
  • Coordinate with Winnipeg office as needed
  • Booking flights, Hotel rooms and car rentals
  • Update and track documents
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Previous reception, clerical or administrative experience required
  • Ability to prioritize with attention to detail
  • Consistent, professional dress and manner
  • Able to contribute as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required
