As the
Human Resources Advisor at Superior Propane, you will be responsible for providing high quality advice and support to our managers and employees on a range of Human Resource matters.

The position responsibilities cover all of the following functional areas:
employee and labour relations, HRIS, professional development, compensation, and recruitment.

What you'll do:

  • Coordinate and drive recruitment efforts as a liaison between our recruitment team and the Business.
  • Provide advice and daytoday consulting support to Managers and Employees on matters related to HR. Escalate more complex issues as required. Also use the rest of the HR team as a resource, and ensure employees and managers receive the information they need. Execute on requests while maintaining confidentiality and exceptional customer service.
  • Observe trends and concerns from within the assigned client group and then partner with Managers to diagnose HR issues, recommend specific HR solutions and execute them in order to drive desired organizational changes.
  • Working with Managers and Employees, implement and support all HR programs including recruitment, onboarding, resolution of payroll and benefit questions and issues leave / returntowork management, and general human resources administration including processing personnel changes and other similar administrative tasks.
  • Ensure that all HR programs, policies and processes are implemented in a manner that supports the organization's Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Perform other duties, as required

What you bring:

  • University Degree in an applicable field or equivalent
years related experience

  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation, or working towards the designation
  • Flexibility and adaptability to frequently changing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent knowledge of provincial employment legislation
  • Superior communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interface at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to coordinate and build relationships
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, as a part of dispersed HR team
  • Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project), Portal / Intranet
  • Ability to exhibit discretion in handling confidential / sensitive information
