In this role, you will act as the senior safety advisor to the Enbridge Control Rooms (Canada and US), offering strategic support to leadership on safety portfolios and expertise in developing broader Enbridge safety programs, standards, and requirements.

What you will do:

  • Operationalize the Enbridge Safety Culture Framework by promoting and designing initiatives to strengthen safety culture within Enbridge Control Rooms and across the organization.
  • Guide Control Room leadership teams in human and organizational performance concepts to enhance operational resilience.
  • Aid in developing, implementing, and maintaining occupational health and safety programs, safety cultural assessments, and training programs tailored to Control Rooms.
  • Offer specialized technical advice to control room leadership on safety management program elements and their implementation.
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure Enbridge's alignment with health and safety laws at provincial, state, and federal levels.

Who you are:

  • Preferably hold a degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial & Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Preference for Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation or Certified Safety Professional.
  • Preferably have six or more years of progressive health & safety experience in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, aviation, or nuclear.
  • Solid grasp of Safety Management Systems.
  • Ability to influence without authority and collaborate effectively with site partners.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation, communication, and facilitation abilities.
  • Show innovation, initiative, and leadership in driving change, solving problems, making decisions, working autonomously, and delivering outcomes.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license, subject to verification via a motor vehicle check before employment.

Working Conditions:

  • Primary office-based role.
  • Travel requirement of up to 30%.
  • Flexibility for extended travel durations (around 5-7 days) and extended work hours as needed to manage priorities, accommodate shifts, and address partner needs.
