WHAT YOU WILL EXPERINCE IN THIS POSITION:

In this position, you will get to perform the following types of activities on a complex industrial site:

  • Assessment, quantification, troubleshooting of EHT notifications and MOCs to find practical, constructible, and cost-effective solutions in a running plant maintenance environment. Research and evaluate quality of information found in client systems based on Oilsands Maintenance trade practices.
  • Prepare complex pro forma electric heat trace (EHT) designs for quotations and engineering on current and obsoleted equipment using best Engineering tools available. Complete written technical instructions that outline the execution and installation steps required.
  • Preform field check locations as required.
  • Provide field engineering support for design, construction, maintenance, programming, and operations of electric heat tracing circuits. Provide practical solutions to construction field RFI's.
  • Provide EHT Alarm Management coverage as required.
  • Ensure that EHT design and construction work at site complies with client standards, legislated requirements, and applicable industrial standards.
  • Conduct difficult technical design assessments, constructability reviews, and field installation reliability appraisals for supplemental heat management systems.

YOU HAVE:

  • Engineering Degree, Technologist Diploma with minimum 4 years working experience or Electrical Trade Qualifications with 8+ years combined of EHT installation, EHT troubleshooting and/or EHT Maintenance Experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in project estimating; project management / coordination; planning, scheduling & cost control.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Excel are required.
  • Experience Preventive Maintenance Programs are required.
  • Maintenance, project, construction, and/or operations experience at an operating petrochemical facility or a heavy industrial site is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sales experience and good customer communication skills required.
