We are currently seeking to expand out Winnipeg Branch by adding a Mechanical Fabricator
From the very start, Multicrete Systems has maintained high standards of integrity and service and the dedication to these ideals are the keys to our past, the present and our future in the mining and construction industry.
Responsibilities and Duties
Reporting to the Shop Manager, the Mechanical Fabriactor will:
- Commission (dismantle and reassemble) Industrial Machinery and or Equipment;
- Suggest methods of improvement to equipment;
- Inspecting and examining machinery to troubleshoot irregularities and or malfunctions;
- Operating tools to fabricate parts during repair;
- Participate in Preventative Maintenance programs and or helping create programs for new equipment as built;
- Repair the equipment in a timely manner;
- Conduct safety checks on company vehicles and equipment;
- Interpret technical manuals and drawings;
- Complete detailed work orders/commissioning documentation;
- Designing of hydraulic systems and/or troubleshoot and repair;
- Assist the purchasing department by ordering parts related to equipment.
NOTE:
this role will involve travel and overtime on weekends occasionally.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 57 years in a mechanical role;
- Experience with mobile equipment, concrete pumps, loaders, and forklifts;
- Knowledge of safety codes in an underground mining environment is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of PLC's, instrumentation and controls is considered an asset.
- Experience in welding mig/stick is considered an asset;
- Holding a certificate from a postsecondary school is an asset;
- Excellent Communication Skills is required;
- Self-Starter with the ability to multitask is a fastpaced environment.
MUST have a valid general driver's license.
Experience:
- Fabrication: 1 year (preferred)
- Troubleshooting: 1 year (preferred)
