Required characteristics include actuarial and financial background, including (but not limited to) knowledge of valuation and reporting, experience/assumptions analysis, capital guidelines, FCT process, and AXIS software.


  • Participate in quarterly valuation processes involving the calculation of technical provisions and the analysis of results
  • Participate in various projects and actuarial tasks such as economic evaluation, financial condition testing, determination of regulatory and internal capital requirements, review of actuarial assumptions
  • Liaise closely with other stakeholders including local Finance team and local Operations team as needed in support to valuation and reporting, and with Pricing on new business deals and treaty information.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of valuation models and other actuarial tools
  • Support management of data used for actuarial valuation, results analysis and experience studies, as needed
  • Support other L&H Reserving initiatives as needed
  • Collaborate with all colleagues from SCOR Group to enable achievement of shared goals and objectives
  • FSA/FCIA actuary with 7+ years of relevant working experience within the insurance/reinsurance industry
  • Knowledge of AXIS software
  • Knowledge of VBA, SQL and Python an asset
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite
  • Strong analytical skills with strong problemsolving ability
  • Wellorganized and a selfdirected individual who is a team player
  • Demonstrated ability to handle priorities / projects concurrently and be deadline driven
  • Demonstrated innovation and creativity in proposing new ways of working
  • Flourishes working as part of a busy team in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills; proven success communicating effectively across different levels within an organization
  • French language proficiency while not a prerequisite will be considered an asset
