Introduction
Prollenium is recruiting for a Head of International Sales.

This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-moving company in an exciting market space within the medical devices industry.


The Head of International Sales will partner with the Commercial team and the CMO to direct and oversee Prollenium's international sales policies, objectives and initiatives.

The incumbent will define and execute the sales strategy for markets outside of Canada and US, including the growth of existing partnerships, exploration and identification of new partnerships to maximize sales and profitability.


Role Activities and Responsibilities

  • Define and execute appropriate sales strategies, including business development, marketing deployment, technical, operational and sales support programs.
  • Develop, plan and implement effective international sales methods to meet all sales targets.
  • Deliver top line sales growth through new and existing partnerships.
  • Develop and maintain negotiation with international distributors.
  • Manage everyday communication with international distributors and detect issues and opportunities.
  • Develop the breadth and depth of sales within existing and future markets.
  • Identify new commercial opportunities to increase revenues on a global market.
  • Act as a Business Representative/Brand Ambassador at major industry events, conferences, and trade shows, attending key events to generate leads.
  • Partner with distributors and customers to understand their business objectives and maximize sales performance in the most efficient, cost effective and commercial manner.
  • Provide outstanding customer service through prompt and accurate support and advice.
  • Evaluate market research, competitor and customer surveys and execute strategies in line with evaluations.
  • Maximizing company profit, set and deliver forecast, and achieve annual sales targets.
  • Lead motivate and develop an International Sales team direct reports and distributors.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for each market; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products and shifts in marketplace.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors.
  • Identify valuable emerging markets.
  • Analyze data, deliver periodic reporting to the Executive team providing key business insights: (incl. customer segmentation, Trends, Target Account and Market Segmentation.
  • Nurture and protect the Prollenium's culture for maximum efficiency and impact of the organization while safeguarding the wellbeing of the whole team.
  • Perform other duties, as needed.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • You are a proven senior commercial leader with a track record of at least years of progressive leadership in international sales with the last five years working at a senior level in the organization
  • You have extensive experience running a P&L business with a proven growth record
  • You have at least five years' experience negotiating contracts in different countries and are able to take the lead in high value commercial negotiations and/or guide team where necessary.
  • You are a selfstarter with a growth mindset who enjoys working on different areas of business and at a fast pace
  • You enjoy working at fast growing companies and in dynamic environments and can demonstrate experience of change management in your past careers with agility and speed.
