Since opening in 1995, A Plus Tutorial has established itself as one of the best education centres within the Greater Vancouver area.

Unlike most centres, A Plus Tutorial enables its students to achieve academic excellence through various programs.

In addition to offering lessons in both a small-group and lecture style setting, we give our students an opportunity to improve and hone their skills through supplementary programs, like the Avid Reader program, and various workshops.


Our detailed curriculum, and unique teaching method surely create a learning experience that is not only different, but also very effective.

The primary objective of this position is to teach and to assist students in Math and Science. There is also room to explore your creativity in designing and preparing teaching materials.

Responsibilities

  • Work with students to improve their skills in Math and Science.
  • Prepare lessons, and assign and correct homework.
  • Prepare and correct tests.
  • Evaluate students' progress and discuss the results with students and/or their parents.
  • Identify students' individual learning needs.

Qualifications
-
Must have: Teaching and/or learning the BC curriculum

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area of studies
  • University students will be considered as Assistant Instructors
  • Ability to articulate instructions well
  • Excellent understanding of elementary/high school curriculum
  • Ability to rephrase materials in simple language for students
  • Time management skills

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 1-10 per week

Salary:
$17.00-$25.00 per hour
