Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handing and completing books, including organizing paperwork, weekly data entry, updating daily cash flows, preparing excel worksheets and financial statements, bank reconciliations
  • Preparing and submitting government remittances as required, HST, WSIB, EHT, and payroll deductions
  • Performance all payroll processing
  • Preparing period and year end schedules
  • Reconciling bank accounts and credit cards
  • All month end and year end functions
  • Processing bill payments
  • Preparing bank deposits and maintaining correspondence with the financial institutions
  • Track accounts payables and receivables
  • Other administrative tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Accounting Certificate or degree through college or university. CPA not required.
  • In depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Minimum of 35 years of related experience
  • Experience in the preparation of financial statements and full cycle bookkeeping
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software and QuickBooks
  • High standard of integrity with exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Excellent work ethic, dependable, and organized
  • Able to develop excellent working relationships
  • Ability to work on own initiatives and meet deadlines
