We are currently searching for an ambitious Lean Manufacturing Manager who is passionate about people and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Plant Manager your contribution is vital to ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's operations to deliver company goals.

Our ideal candidate will be a strategic leader who enjoys driving innovative solutions and taking on challenging new assignments. You are passionate about training and coaching your team to reach personal development goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPI's) to monitor shop floor performance
  • Improve the overall performance of your team through implementation of lean initiatives including standard work, leading kaizen events leveraging a cross-functional team
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's operations
  • Identify areas for process improvement and develop and implement solutions to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness
  • Responsible for overseeing the planning, coordinating, and supervising of day-to-day operations, targets and team responsibilities
  • Analyze operational data to make informed decisions, identify trends, and recommend improvements
  • Develp and train team with problem solving techniques to analyze, identify root cause and permanently correct problems, deploy 5S best practices within shop
  • Ensure team members comply with quality requirements, provide training for operators for products and manufacturing processes
  • Establish/maintain work standards for product costing and productivity measurement
  • Ensure shop supplies are ordered and tools and metrology equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly
  • Create personal development plans with team members and provide timely feedback for growth and personal development

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations management, or a related field
  • 5 - 7 years production leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Develops a deep understanding of customers needs and provides solutions to complex problems
  • Data driven, creative thinker with an analytical mind
  • Experience driving 5S/Kaizen, etc. events and lead teams through a lean transformation
  • Ability to work in a production environment and deliver established (KPIs)
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards such as lock-out/tag-out and incident reporting
  • Passionate about developing & coaching high potential employees
  • Thrives when presented with a challenge, takes ownership and drives initiatives
  • A team player who enjoys collaborating and working across boundaries
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Commited to learn, grow and develop your career while assisting the company to become an "industry leader"
