In the role of HR Coordinator, you'll be responsible for coordinating and administering established human resources processes.

In collaboration with the human resources manager and the regional human resources team, the HR Coordinator ensures the accurate and timely delivery of excellent programs, processes, and services to managers and team members.


About The Role


As an ambassador of Baptist Housing, you will model our ministry values and exemplify servant leadership by serving the needs of others.

You'll foster and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with team members, partners, job applicants, students, and external agencies.

You will establish and support a culture of health and safety by identifying and addressing hazards and encouraging safe practices.

Your role will involve supporting the recruitment and selection process, coordinating new team member orientations, and managing criminal record checks and internal recruitment processes.

You'll assist with scheduling, ensuring accurate time and attendance records, and administering seniority and service dates. You will oversee benefits administration, manage disability claims, and support the return-to-work process. Ensuring compliance with licensing, registration, and collective agreements will be essential. You will collaborate with HR coordinators, share responsibility for team output, and communicate effectively with all team members.

Additionally, you will handle confidential information discreetly, respond promptly to inquiries, manage communication, attend meetings, and provide administrative support to the HR Manager.

Your role includes developing team resources and maintaining records for the HR team, along with other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Human Resources degree or diploma from a recognized postsecondary institution.
  • Minimum two years' related experience providing administrative or scheduling support. Experience in human resources is preferred.
  • Labour relations experience is preferred.
  • Experience in health care is an asset.
  • Experience with scheduling systems in a health care environment is an asset.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Access to a vehicle or reliable transportation, as this position requires travel across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.

As a critical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities, you pay meticulous attention to detail and boast well-developed organizational skills. Time management and adaptability come naturally to you, allowing you to efficiently handle your workload and navigate shifting priorities. Your proficiency in working with numbers and strong communication skills complement your advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

You bring a Human Resources degree or diploma, along with a minimum of two years' related experience (preferably in a unionized healthcare environment).

Knowledge of collective agreements or scheduling systems in a healthcare environment is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, featuring an hourly salary range between $55,000 and $60,000.
