Partner Staffing Looking for a Skilled Civil Bridge Engineer Project Manager in Edmonton, Alberta

Partner Staffing is currently working with our client seeking a skilled Civil Bridge Engineer Project Manager to join the Infrastructure team in Edmonton, Alberta. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of bridge construction projects from inception to completion. They will manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and teams to ensure successful project delivery while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage bridge construction projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  2. Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
  3. Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
  4. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and implement effective solutions to ensure project success.
  5. Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  6. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  7. Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, and budget analyses to stakeholders and management.
  8. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the project team, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  9. Mentor and coach junior staff members, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional growth and development.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; P.Eng. Designation is required. Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on bridge construction projects. Proven track record of successfully managing bridge construction projects from inception to completion. Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and manage project resources effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and team members. Sound knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with a focus on bridge construction. Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals. Commitment to safety, quality, and excellence in all aspects of project delivery.
