The Staff Piping Engineer will collaborate in project teams to develop high-quality designs for various projects in sectors such as power, process, corporate, healthcare, pipeline airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities The role involves adjusting piping plans based on budget restrictions, design considerations, and client requirements, covering the project lifecycle from concept to completion.
Responsibilities:- Review and enhance production drawings for diverse projects like power plants, industrial facilities, healthcare facilities, airports, educational institutions, commercial, and governmental and military facilities.
- Create piping elements to meet project specifications as outlined by project managers.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of piping engineering concepts, codes, and practices.
- Collect and analyze project data as needed.
- Validate corrections on drawings using various CAD software.
- Prepare materials for client meetings, review shop drawings, and manage contracts for various facilities.
- Conduct field inspections and calculations for clients in both public and private sectors.
Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program. Master's Degree: Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering can substitute 1 year of experience. Experience: 3 years of mechanical piping engineering experience, consulting background is a plus. Additional Skills: Expertise in engineering techniques, strong written and verbal communication abilities, proficiency in engineering software and tools. Other: Analytical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and organizational skills. Legal eligibility to work in the job location.
Job Details:Location: Calgary, AB, Canada. Schedule: Full-time. Travel: 10% required.
