Job Purpose:


Liaise with and provide advisory support to other Real Estate business units in areas related Capital Planning, including supporting the development of Summarized Asset Risk Analysis Reports.

Provide advice on the Phase 1 Analysis of High FCI Buildings to identify those that are incurable.


Responsible for the Building Condition Assessments including high priority assets, coordination of the Structural Assessment program, which is expanding to include bridges and dams, develop RFP in concert with the P3 team to have a new five-year VOR.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensuring Summarized Asset Risk Analysis Report reporting is complete, reviewing the 10year, 3 years plans for various assets and providing advice on Asset Renewal strategies for reinvestment.
  • Review current and proposed projects, understanding the impact to the financial reinvestment and working with other business units to determine if reinvestment strategies are viable.
  • Conduct High FCI Phase I analysis to identify buildings for supply /demand analysis.
  • Prepare high FCI analysis, complete the process to determine outcome of the values to ensure asset categories are modified with Portfolio Planning. Resulting advice to support Summarized Risk Analysis Reporting.
  • Responsible for the Building Condition Assessments including high priority assets, coordination of the Structural Assessment program, which is expanding to include bridges and dams.
  • Manage and review vendor performance. Ensure output report is met and all data is entered into AMIS for future consideration in reinvestment strategies.
  • Provide summaries for senior management for decision making on highrisk assets.
  • Reviewing specialized Building Condition Assessments with Service Providers and internal stakeholders for alignment with reinvestment strategies.
  • Validate the Asset inventory on a quarterly basis working with other business units to develop clear lines of strategy.

Who We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of four years of experience in the asset management industry including capital project delivery, building condition assessment and development of financial models.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills ability to use databases such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI at a high level.
  • Knowledge of asset condition assessment and lifecycle planning would be an asset.
  • Strong customer relationship experience including negotiations, management of service providers, and the ability to balance multiple needs by various stakeholders.
  • Postsecondary degree in Asset Management, Construction Real Estate, Business, Architecture, Transportation or Engineering
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
The salary range for this position is

$67,100 to $100,700, with a corresponding job level of P3.

Employment in the Real Estate Division is conditional upon obtaining security clearance through the Program & Policy Enablement Branch, Supply Chain Ontario of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.
