The Compensation Range includes the span between the minimum and maximum base salary.

The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum base salary and can be considered for an employee with full job knowledge, required qualifications and experience for the position.

Organizational Status
Reporting to the Career Service Manager, the Career Service Assistant works with academics, employers, and four career development specialists. Together, the career service assistant is responsible for Cornerstone's students developing their careers and thriving in Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Handles career servicerelated clerical duties using MS Office, HubSpot and other digital platforms.
  • Assist with employment outcome data collection, job market research and lead development.
  • Assist with planning, hosting, promoting, and coordinating various events such as Meet & Greet, Career Week, Campushiring events etc.
  • Schedule, and conduct onetoone meetings with jobseeking students.
  • Assist with job matching, career development, resume, cover letter, and mock interview training.
  • Report to and collaborate with Career Development Specialists who manage Customer Relations Specialist, Hospitality Management, Event Management and International Business Management coop programs.

Supervision Received
Works independently and in collaboration with the Career Development Specialists and Career Service Manager

Supervision Given
None, however, may provide general training to new team members.

Qualifications

  • Completed at least two years of college in business management, hospitality management or a similar field of study.
  • At least one year of experience (internship or employment) in career servicerelated, staffing, recruitmentrelated departments or organizations in Canada or abroad
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, MailChimp, Slack or similar digital platforms is preferred.
  • Skilled in researching, connecting and handling business development or networking
  • Ability to handle confidential materials appropriately
  • Experience with data analysis
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multitasking team
