Summary
The Project Supervisor is directly responsible for the planning and processes of projects in the department. The Project Supervisor develops and plans the process of all major projects while setting and maintaining the established budgets.

This individual leads the development of the department including:
performance management and ensuring proper planning and processes are completed and followed. The Project Supervisor coordinates and directs projects, staff and sets goals, budgets, and timelines for active projects.

Job Duties

  • Interaction with customers through the design, assembly and after sales processes, assisting to resolve project challenges and inquires.
  • Ensures all project performance is appropriately tracked, documented and accounted for, including cost, timekeeping, and expenditures and available to audit.
  • WBS (work breakdown structure) and subtasks required
  • Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
  • Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
  • Direct, review, report, and assist in facilitating any product changes.
  • Prepare budgets, bids, and contracts, and direct the negotiation of research contracts.
  • Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the technical work performed in all related departments.
  • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, enforcing rules, and assist in the decision making in regards to the purchase of materials or services.
  • Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
  • To direct and coordinate the development of long and short range construction programs based on sound engineering and economic principles, to ensure assignments and projects are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Establish a manufacturing schedule consistent with available engineering and workhour resources.
  • Direct the coordination of special projects for the Engineering Department.
  • Supervises bid process; assigns projects to departments and sets priorities.
  • Prepares and updates project procedures including description of the project administration process and contract documentation guidelines.
  • Provides technical support and coordination of projects through project coordination meetings and other means.
  • Monitors progress against project schedules and budgets; recommends allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals.
  • Reviews inspection reports and assists in resolution of manufacturing problems.
  • Authorizes or recommends change orders and claims resolution; represents our company in manufacturing contract dispute resolution meetings.
  • Monitors engineering and commissioning aspects of equipment startups; ensures project startup plans and required documentation are completed and coordinated with Operations and Maintenance Department personnel.
  • Monitors expenditures after budget adoption.

Requirements:

  • Manufacturing industry experience with Oilfield Equipment
  • Engineering Technology Diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principles
- (5) years in a supervisory role, managing professionals.
