Take the lead with GEF Seniors Housing, the largest provider of subsidized seniors' housing in Alberta and a dedicated registered charity. We are passionate about supporting the quality of life for seniors in every facet of our operations, and we are searching for a like-minded professional to fill our Portfolio Manager role.


Reporting to the Director of Housing and Client Services, the Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and the portfolio team, ensuring that the organization's Mission, Vision, Values and Quality of Life Philosophy are reflected in the development and nurturing of relationships with residents, tenants, staff, families, and partner agencies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, foster, and oversee resident and tenant relations.
  • Manage daytoday service delivery, ensuring that client relations align with the organization's Quality of Life Philosophy.
  • Advocate for and support organizationwide initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, both within and external to GEF.
  • Manage the financial performance of the portfolio, tracking and accounting for budget items.
  • Provide effective team leadership, including training and performance management.
  • Champion and actively participate in the organization's Health, Safety, and Wellness Program initiatives.
  • Oversee compliance with relevant legislations, regulations and standards at the portfolio and site level.

Qualification and Competencies:

  • Bachelor or Graduate Degree (a diploma with related experience may be considered).
  • PC proficiency, strategic planning, finance/budgeting.
  • Proficiency in project management and supervisory skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse workforce across various management levels.
  • Demonstrated conflict resolution and problemsolving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of seniors housing industry is an asset.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle and submit a copy of the driver's license upon request.
  • Must have ability to flex hours of work for some evening and weekend presence at the portfolio sites throughout the year.

Details:

Full time, Days, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Evening or weekend hours as required.


Pay Scale:
Commensurate with education and experience.

Location:
GEF locations throughout Edmonton. (travel between sites is required, mileage paid)

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a criminal records check and be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
