Administrator, Transaction Processing

What is the opportunity?


This position is accountable for providing high quality service through the management of day-to-day financial transaction processing, produce reports, manage cash processes as well as corporate actions and special events processes within Register & transfer Agency department.

This position is also accountable for providing occasionally high quality service through the management of limited number of day-to-day Investors/Distributors queries.

The individual ensures a superior level of service is maintained at all times, shares knowledge of pending issues, promptly resolves where possible and escalates items where necessary to the line manager whilst providing all clients with an exceptional experience in all engagements with RBC Investor Services.


What will you do?

  • Prescreen, prepare and input all financial and various nonfinancial transactions by standard cut off times.

Includes but is not limited to:
account set-up; redemptions, purchases, switches, non-complex NIGOs, direct trade and wire order placement and settlement

  • Monitor and clear Workflow/Capture items within Service Level Agreements(SLA)
  • Reconciliation and settlement of daily trades
  • Daily deposits and cheque processes
  • Message all accounts where unusual actions have occurred
  • Audit Transactions, question procedures, suggest improvements to processes and give accurate feedback to team members to help reduce errors and ensure a high accuracy rate
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external client groups
  • Work with Manager to update Desk Operating Procedures and other tasks as assigned.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Experience within Shareholder Services or similar multiclient mutual fund administration environment
  • Good working knowledge / experience in the financial services industry, specifically in Mutual fund and Segregated Funds administration
  • Sound knowledge of Mutual Fund and Segregated Fund taxation and compliance /regulation including Registered Products
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fastpaced, high stress environment
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external client groups
  • Strong customer service skills


Computer Literacy
  • Intermediate

Nice to have

  • Proven track record in leading initiatives, managing crossfunctional relationships
  • Completion of IFIC Mutual Funds Operations Course
  • Unitrax Recordkeeping System knowledge
  • FundSERV knowledge
  • Ability to read/write French is an asset
