About this role:


As a Funeral Director at Bay Gardens Funeral Home located in Hamilton, Ontario, you will have the opportunity to provide meaningful support to families on their end-of -life journey by overseeing and directing all aspects of funeral services, including: filing death certificates, maintaining online obituary listings, performing decedent embalming and providing assistance during the execution of funeral services.

Key Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities:

  • Possesses a Class 1 Funeral Director's license with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Displays proven, superior arrangement, directing and embalming skills.
  • Passion for customer care demonstrated in previous professional experiences.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills with the ability to partner will all levels of the organization.
  • Exemplifies Arbor's values of compassion, integrity, trust, teamwork, belonging and excellence.
  • Excellent knowledge of Funeral Home procedures and business practices including Funeral Home Procedures Manuals.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities:

  • Arranges, coordinates and directs funeral ceremonies.
  • Meets and surpasses the needs and expectations of the families we serve.
  • Maintains active involvement within the community and is committed to building and establishing effective relationships and rapport.
  • Supports the Funeral Service Department's vision of technology integration by understanding the role technology plays in the funeral home's success.
