Responsibilities
What will you do?

  • As a Senior Architect you support delivery teams in the development of detailed solution roadmaps for a welldefined set of capabilities or logical group of systems, services, or projects.
  • You partner closely with engineers and project management to ensure that implementation meets design expectations.
  • You are proactive in reaching out to architects and leaders in teams with which your technology integrates and you drive results through strong crossfunctional collaboration.
  • You serve as the organization's subject matter expert for capabilities in your portfolio and work actively within the Architecture Community of Practice.
  • In partnership with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Product Owners, Engineers, and other Architects, you provide leadership in defining project requirements and success criteria along with guiding the design throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate and present at architecture design reviews.
  • Proactively align with key stakeholders, seek organizational context, and apply learnings to architecture solutions; be comfortable supporting and communicating with diverse technical and business teams.
  • Evaluate, document, and escalate alterations to future state architectures.
  • Communicate tradeoffs in different types of engineering and architecture processes and adjust your team's process to meet the needs of the project and others on the team.
  • Contribute to the growth and strength of the architecture community of practice by actively attending and presenting at community events.
  • Influence others through subjectmatter expertise and welldocumented research.
Qualifications
Qualifications

  • BS / BA in technology related discipline or relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of realworld experience developing, deploying, scaling, and maintaining software systems: most of this experience should come from working in and around cloud based services at enterprise scale.
  • Relevant industry experience is preferred, with an emphasis on providing governance and enablement for customers in a shiftleft environment.
  • Deep handson experience using compute, networking, storage, and data components in Amazon AWS with Terraform or equivalent IaC tools. All infrastructure deployed and maintained through CI/CD pipelines.
  • Be able to describe the key services of a given cloud platform and be able to select appropriately for given use cases, e.g. compute, storage, analytics, etc.
  • Deep familiarity with microservices and serverless architectures, and ideally have seen them in operation at a global / enterprise scale.
  • Good understanding of wellarchitected framework and ability to promote bestpractices and provide guidance to help engineers across the organization with cloud adoption.
  • Deep familiarity with managing accounts at scale and managing OU strategy, Landing Zone using Control Tower and extending the capability using CfCT, AFT or other similar automation.
  • Identify and anticipate new tools and platform features which can be leveraged to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company.
  • Design and document modern and efficient systems with good attention to detail
