YOUR ROLE


As a member of the Apparel and Protective Gear team, based in Sherbrooke, the Technical Designer creates and delivers relevant technologies for every BRP brand.

This position will help BRP to become a leader in the powersports helmet and protective gear market.

In this position, you will be a key part of bringing to market the next generation of helmets and protective equipment.


The Technical Designer will have the primary responsibility to develop, implement and test multiple complex solutions for current and future BRP helmets and protective gear.


YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Design products, systems, mechanisms, and innovative solutions.

Create CAD files of helmets and protective equipment.

Proceed to the conception of components and coordination of prototype manufacturing.

Create 2D drawings for manufacturing requirements.

Test the fruits of your labour in real life conditions on BRP vehicles.

Work on multiple projects in a fast-paced product development environment.

Other duties and responsibilities as required.

THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
A CAD specialist profile with a love of Engineering and Prototyping.

A hands-on profile.

Outside-the-box thinker.

Interest in powersports.

A team player.


A self-starter, self-motivated, the ability to complete project goals with mínimal supervision with high attention to detail and work quality.

A technical college diploma in mechanical engineering, or relevant design experience.

Experience in plastic components conception would be an advantage.

Strong Catia V5 surface design skills.

More than 3 years of experience in aesthetical surface design for plastic parts.

Knowledge of Smarteam would be an advantage.

Knowledge of plastic, plastics processing, and technical material construction would be an advantage.

Hands-on experience building/fabricating prototypes and testing would be an advantage.

Knowledge and experience using rapid/additive prototyping methods would be an advantage.

Good knowledge of French and English.
