What will you do?

  • Responsible for reporting the financial performance of the business unit(s);
  • Support business leaders and sales teams to drive the results and the business objectives of growth;
  • Support CFO as proxy when unavailable or out of office
  • Help develop short- and long-term strategy for finance team
  • Responsible for supporting the reporting requirements (Actuals & Planning) including:
  • Working in conjunction with business managers to develop monthly and quarterly forecasts;
  • Engage in the reporting of the Monthly Close process and create visibility through regular communication with the Business Leaders;
  • Working closely with the Accounting and FP&A, Local Managers and staff to ensure understanding and integrity of the data;
  • Analyse results for the business unit (Orders, Sales, Gross Margin, SFC) and explain variances
  • Support with the audit of various rebate programs;
  • Support with the provision of ad hoc financial analysis as required;
  • Assist with the provision of financial and commercial advice;
  • Drive finance transformation topics and support business in their own transformations
  • Responsible for any other finance duties that fall within reasonable scope of the role;
  • Promote the compliance principles and Key Internal Control mindset among the business team;
  • Work closely with GSC and Inventory Planning team to secure the right inventory for the business. This may require analyzing past volumes and forecasting future unit requirement for the business.
  • Present results to the business and provide actionable insight to the numbers.
  • Work with line of business (LoB) to secure annual funding for Support Function Costs (SFC), and track receipt of funds. Report ROI to LoB/CFO as required.
  • Work with North America (NAM) Inventory costing team to ensure costs are properly updated in the ERP.
  • Gatekeeper of Hoshin (yearly plan), the balanced scorecard for the business. Hold business (and yourself, the FBP) accountable by having monthly Hoshin review.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in financial roles including accounting, auditing, financial analysis, FP&A;
  • An accounting qualification a plus
  • Strong technical background;
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (Budgeting, forecasting and reporting experience) is essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience of a matrix structure within a multinational manufacturing organisation;
  • Experience in MS Office Suite, SAP, Hyperion and other BI tools;
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability;
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Well-organised with ability to prioritize and multi task;
  • Hands-on approach;
  • Drive for results;
  • Experience in implementing change;
  • Ability to demonstrate the use of initiative in developing ideas and improvements to working practices/disciplines across the organisation and the ability to take ownership for work will be expected;
  • The individual will need to be able to work at all levels across the business and to recognize, respond and exceed the expectations of internal and external customers;
  • Strong time management skills are essential;
  • Be resilient in supporting the team to achieve results even when facing resistance;
