Finance and Administration Manager

ROLE:
To oversee the day-to-day financial and administrative needs of Green Marine under the guidance of the President.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Financial Management / General Accounting:
    • Coordinate bookkeeping and accounting services as needed
    • Handle all accounting tasks including invoicing, payroll, and fund disbursement
    • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budgets
    • Manage banking, investments, and external audit processes
  • General Administration:
    • Assist in meeting preparation and member management
    • Maintain corporate policies and handle administrative filings
Statutory Filings:
  • Oversee external bookkeepers and ensure compliance with statutory remittances and tax filings
  • Assist with contract drafting and monitor compliance

Group Benefits:
  • Assist with group benefits administration and insurance arrangements
  • Manage insurance policies and claims processing

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Education / Experience:
Diploma or certification in finance, accounting, or related field
3-5 years of finance and accounting experience
International exposure is a plus

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Strong communication skills
Detail-oriented and organized
Proficient in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
Self-motivated and results-driven
Effective time management and interpersonal skills
Sound understanding of accounting principles and regulations
Ability to work with confidential information
Financial analysis and budgeting skills
Language proficiency in English and French
WORKING CONDITIONSLocation:
Hybrid work model in Québec City and remote work

Required Travel:
Travel within Canada and potentially internationally, passport required

Compensation:
