Job Summary


This position requires a talented and motivated individual to assist our bioanalytical group in the quantitative analysis of small molecules in biological samples, using LC-MS/MS instruments.

The position involves sample preparation and extraction and the preparation of mobile phases and other solvents, and requires someone with attention to detail and accuracy in the weighing of compounds and preparation of solvents.

Ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks is required. Previous experience is essential. The location for this position will primarily be in Mississauga.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide routine sample preparation for bioanalysis.
  • Provide precise weighing and mixing of reagents and chemicals.
  • Maintain and clean equipment used for sample processing.
  • Follow defined procedures.
  • Order and track laboratory supplies.
  • Track and maintain compound and freezer inventories.
  • Data entry.
  • Provide general support of bioanalytical activities.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as determined by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • B.Sc. degree in a relevant field (e.g. Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and to meet timelines.
  • Ability to work in a safe environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Salary:
From $50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
