THE OPPORTUNITY:


The Human Resources Business Partner will primarily be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of day-to-day functions of the HR department including full-cycle recruitment, onboarding and orientation training, health and safety, employee relations, strategic planning, human resource administration and more.

What You Will Do:

  • Fullcycle recruitment including but not limited to working with management to identify personnel needs and job specifications, creating job postings, conducting phone screens, interviewing, and conducting reference checks.
  • Facilitate and manage all onboarding and orientation procedures for new hires.
  • Advise and assist Managers and Supervisors on interpretation and administration of policies, programs, and applicable legislations.
  • Advise managers on company policy regarding equal opportunity employment, various forms of harassment, and any recommended changes.
  • Conduct training presentations and ensure BRC is in compliance with employee training mandated by applicable legislation.
  • Educate both current and prospective employees on company policies regarding job duties, working conditions, safety, wages, career advancement opportunities, employee benefits and recreation programs.
  • Develop and provide recommendations for policies and processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and compile statistical reports relating to personnel data, e.g. hires, transfers, absenteeism rates, and performance appraisals.
  • Ensure job descriptions are kept up to date.
  • Review and ensure effectiveness of daytoday functions of the Human Resources department.
  • Manage the returntowork procedures for all team members returning to work following an injury.
  • Work collaboratively with injured team members and Supervisors to complete incident/accident reports. Ensure all workplace injuries are reported to WSIB online.
  • Complete other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Human Resources Generalist or similar role.
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Highly organized with effective time management skills. Has the ability to multitask and deliver tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal relation skills.
  • High attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly and to ensure they are clearly communicated to an audience.
