JOB OVERVIEW:


The Social Media Coordinator is involved in all aspects of the development and implementation of Easton's Group of Hotels Inc.

based communication adhering to the Standard Operating Practices.

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for promoting and protecting the company's reputation by developing and executing media relations and public relations strategies and plans for brand building, innovation, corporate promotions, internal communications, and corporate communications/corporate affairs initiatives through the use of, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.

platforms in collaboration with the Vice President of Sales under the guidance and direction of the President and CEO of Easton's Group of Hotels and the Co-Founder, President and CEO of Rogue Insight Capital.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

***Develop, implement and measure external and internal Social Media based posts for all arms of The Gupta Group of Companies and Rogue Insight Capital.

  • Manage daytoday media relations and media requests for brand and corporate issues.
  • Work outside the traditional "95" work week due to the time sensitive nature of this job. The employees' work schedule must be flexible according to business levels and the completion of daily priorities, such as posting, monitoring, reporting, and replying to any posted responses.
  • Provide guidance to ensure coordination and communication of messages/news to both internal and external audiences.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of Social Media programs and communicate results back to business, on a monthly and Quarterly basis.
  • Collect and analyze all Hotels' Social Media matrices, and report back on a Monthly and Quarterly basis.
  • Develop and implement online communications strategy ensuring alignment with internal communications strategy and that it includes daytoday content development strategy and functional enhancements.
  • Serve as senior editor and provide communications content for SM platforms.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications and report results back to business.
  • Liaison and collaborate with Easton's Group of Hotels properties to assist with onsite posting and sharing.
  • Report any adverse comments, reviews in an immediate fashion to VP Sales and Marketing, by monitoring of all sites and platforms in a timely and consistent basis.
  • Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

***Education:

  • Post secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related discipline is a plus.
  • Minimum of 35 years' experience in Communications and/or PR agency experience is also a plus.

Skills:

  • A clear understanding of the Culture, Tone and Communication Goals of EGH
  • Accuracy (spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.)
  • A clear understanding of post timing, placement, and effectiveness of messaging
  • Ability to analyze post timings for effective impact on engagement, and following
  • Ability to use Hootsuite to schedule posts effectively
  • Ability to work on own to create posts for approval.
  • Access to programs and Apps to create engaging and effective posts
  • Be customer focused, and understand the differences in audience in regard to:
  • Easton's Group of Hotels, Gupta Group, and Rogue Insights Capital Investment
  • Must be able to multitask when working within tight timelines for posting
  • Be team oriented
  • Must work with ethics and integrity
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of communication principles and practices.
  • Must have a firm understanding of all Social Media Platforms and their effectiveness to message
  • Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication with strong writing and editorial abilities.
  • Strong Social Media knowledge in the use of each social media platform and demonstrated success with Social Media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and others.
  • Strong knowledge of Web Design, Canva and other similar software programs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, internet, wire services, media monitoring software, and other public relation tools.
  • Must possess strong project management skills.
  • Must be versatile and flexible to be able to meet tight deadlines and execute flawlessly on projects in a fastpaced, often pressured environment and see a project through to completion.
  • Must have the ability to be an influential communications consultant within the organization.
  • Must be capable of maintaining confidentiality, with a high level of accuracy regarding information.
  • The ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to work effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization
