The Specialist, Talent Acquisition Strategy provides the full range of specialized recruitment strategy services; designs, develops, implements and monitors strategies, and maintains all career site content by working with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Branding, Communications, and Graphics) to ensure the Company's talent brand aligns with the Corporate brand.

Works with recruitment advertising agencies, job boards, employment centres, etc. in order to attract, motivate and retain high quality employees for hard to fill roles.

Coaches and supports recruiters in the field with strategic ways to use social media and campaigns to reach targeted audiences, creates and implements student outreach programs, maintains and analyses attrition and retention data solutions.

Participates in a range of special projects and recruiting initiatives at the national and regional levels.

Responsibilities:


Below are the main job requirements and responsibilities for Specialist, Talent Acquisition Strategy.- Develops and continuously monitors the effectiveness of employment-branding messaging through marketing collateral/web-based training to promote CPC as an employer of choice.


  • Builds and maintains relationships with Universities and Colleges across the country including regular onsite presentations and seminars. Plans and leads the facilitation of recruitment events to attract the right high calibre graduates.
  • Analyses and maintains attrition and retention data and develops possible solutions to identified issues. Designs and implements exit and stay interviews such as onboarding, training and development, and talent management. Advises internal stakeholders on attrition and retention issues, trends and best practices.

Job Responsibilities (continued):

  • Develops strategies and communications plans for national initiatives and programs such as the national student, intern and/or coop recruitment programs. Acts as national contact for the programs and works with regional recruitment and staffing teams to monitor program effectiveness, and initiate change management plans where improvements are required.
  • Provides expert advice on recruitment strategies and processes. Identifies training requirements to help upskill deployed staffing teams. Participates in the development of instructional material and conducts information sessions as required.
  • Develops Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and works with Sourcing Management to negotiate competitive fee agreements to ensure robust supplier lists are in place across the regions.
  • Develops and implements a framework for process controls to ensure regional staffing teams understand and comply with third party recruitment contracts. Monitors activities, communicates with deployed HPM regarding process discrepancies and provides expertise and advice to resolve issues.
  • Participates in projects where recruitment or retention strategies are impacted and provides insight and expertise to stakeholders. Monitors overall recruitment and retention programs/processes and makes recommendations to further improve them.

Qualifications:

Education

  • University or college graduate in Commerce, Human Resources or related field.
Experience

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a human resources role.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in recruitment an asset.
  • Project Management experience, preferably in largescale and/or niche recruitment.
  • Experience in planning and executive sourcing/recruitment strategies.
  • Experience in utilizing and managing an applicant tracking system (experience in supporting the implementation of an ATS desirable).
  • Willing to pursue a CHRP designation or Professional accreditation in the Human Resources field
  • Experience in codeveloping/managing a corporate career website
