MediaEdge Communications – Territory Account Manager (Wood Industry)

We are an award-winning business media company, seeking a sales rock-star to join our growing team.

The opportunity will include an existing book of business in Canada's leading publication within the primary and secondary Wood Industry.

The successful candidate must be passionate about working in the business-to-business media space, and have the ability to develop new business and sell across print & digital vehicles.

The role requires an individual who is willing and enthused to become the title champion and available to travel throughout North America to all or most of the industry conferences and trade shows of which there are 5.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Driving the commercial success of an industry leading publication within the Canadian Wood Industry with the opportunity to offer the entire gamut of marketing solutions including programmatic advertising, content marketing, social media programs, etc
  • Maximize market opportunity and client outreach through outbound calls and face to face meetings.
  • Attend various industry trade shows and conferences
  • Cultivating new business opportunities and managing existing accounts
  • Cross functional collaboration across multiple departments (sales, marketing, production, editorial and design)
Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate:

  • Has businesstobusiness media sales experience (min 4 years)
  • Has a strong understanding of print and digital advertising
  • Has a proven track record of developing new business by adopting a consultative selling approach
  • Is a selfmotivated individual looking to work in a fast paced environment with a performancebased culture
  • Is a complete team player and is happy to work in a collaborative work environment
