Job Description
  • If you possess determination, skill and motivation, consider a dynamic career with Canada Post. We are currently in search of a part-time Post Office Assistant who will prioritize customer satisfaction while delivering counter services.
Job Responsibilities
  • Sell postal products and services to both the business sector and the general public
  • Sort, distribute and handle mail by appropriate categories
  • Offer customers necessary information and forms
  • Handle delivery and service issues promptly and effectively
Qualifications
  • Completion of high school or equivalent provincial education and/or experience in business administration
  • Experience or training in interacting with the public in retail and service settings, involving sales and financial transactions
  • Knowledge of general or post office bookkeeping systems
  • Physically capable of lifting mail containers weighing up to 50 lb, moving boxes, sorting mail and standing for prolonged periods
Other Information
  • Please note: The ideal candidate should reside within the community. Candidates residing within a 50 km radius of the Post Office may also be considered when necessary.
