Position Details

  • Review and approve incoming vendor estimates to ensure quality and technical expertise.
  • Perform scope reviews, seek clarification from vendors on estimates, and negotiate costs with vendors/contractors.
  • Offer dispute-resolution services on estimate reviews involving CAA Members, vendors, and the Insurance company.
  • Provide guidance to Property adjusters when facing exceptions.
  • Coordinate appraisal resources to ensure efficient assignment dispatch.
  • Engage in industry events and special projects to benefit the claims department as identified periodically.

What you have

  • 1-3 years' experience in building construction as a project manager or senior property adjuster with an insurance carrier.
  • Proficiency in XACTANALYSIS platform and XACTIMATE software.
  • Familiarity with building codes and hazardous material exposure management.
  • Educational background with relevant post-secondary education complemented by a CIP designation or working towards one.
  • IICRC Fire and Water restoration certification would be advantageous.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of property damage analysis.
  • Advanced negotiation skills and investigative logic.
