The ministry has been developed through the amalgamation of legislative authorities in land and resource agencies to provide clients with a single point of access to natural resource authorizations and resource management services at many locations across the province.
The ministry is structured in 23 districts within eight regions under the leadership of three geographically based Assistant Deputy Ministers.
This position works within natural resource management or infrastructure development (i.e. transportation operations or forest management) and is accountable for managing the delivery of district-wide operations consistent with ministry priorities and objectives and legislative requirements and oversees a large team comprised of technical, administrative, and professional staff.Explore the opportunities and value working with our team can offer you: Why Work for the Ministry of Forests.
Located within the Rocky Mountain Trench, Mackenzie provides a large selection of activities like snowmobiling, cross-country and downhill skiing, hiking, mountain biking and camping in the summer.
Job Requirements:
- University degree or diploma in a field related to natural resource management, business/public administration or acceptable equivalent. Experience in operational management of natural resources.
- Formal education or experience in human resources.
- Experience leading and coaching diverse teams in financial and/or human resource management. Experience developing and maintaining working relationships and resolving problems with stakeholders in natural resource management or infrastructure development.
Proviso - Must be willing to travel, extensively at times
- Must be able to start immediately

One Position is available in Mackenzie.
