The following job description is an overview (but not limited to) of the position of Production and Quality control technician.


  • Following specific formulation processes, manufacture paint according to company requirements. Responsible for meeting quality, and product flow requirements while implementing methods to improve cycle times, reducing downtime and lowering costs.
  • Planning and organizing production schedules. Plan, coordinate and control manufacturing processes so that products are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Assessing project and resource requirements. Managing inventory of raw materials.
  • Estimating, agreeing and negotiating timescales and budgets with clients and managers
  • Perform and record quality control tests (understand or able to learn viscosity testing, solids testing, ph testing and other laboratory testing)
  • Regularly assess and update quality control processes.
  • Tint, package and ship paint as required.
  • Maintain a sterile work environment.
  • Assist with creation and maintaining of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor raw materials and inventory. Ensure stock levels are adequate. Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records.
  • Liaising with buyers, marketing and sales staff
  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are being met.
  • Work with management to create and implement company policies and goals.
  • Preparation of monthly production statement and other reports.
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as required.
  • Create, use and follow OKR strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe

Strong project management skills. Meticulous record keeping skills.

Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour
