The role:


Grant Thornton LLP is currently looking for a permanent, full-time marketing assistant to join our growing western Canadian marketing team, with offices in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.

You will bring passion and energy to this marketing administration role, and will execute on and support marketing activities as outlined in the west region and business unit marketing plans.

This position reports to the Regional Marketing Manager and will sit in the Edmonton, Vancouver, Langley, Kelowna or Calgary office.


Role purpose:


This position drives and supports the objectives of the western Canadian business units and firm by executing on marketing plans and campaigns that align with firm goals, under the guidance of the Regional Marketing Managers and the Western Canada Regional Marketing Senior Manager.


As a Regional Marketing & Communications Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and distribute internal marketing newsletters and other internal communications to western business units under guidance of the Regional Marketing Managers, Markets Leaders and Senior Manager Regional Marketing
  • Coordinate western Canadian promotional item orders, including working with local teams to manage inventory, and field requests from the business, with a focus on achieving outcomes aligned with firm marketing and business objectives
  • Coordinate and maintain website location pages, Google My Business listings and senior practitioner bios and head shots for western Canada business units
  • Actively use the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and other marketing enablement software to coordinate, execute and manage campaigns
  • Provide administration support as needed for the Regional Marketing Managers and Senior Manager Regional Marketing
  • Participate in marketing working groups to support and deliver on national and regional campaigns
  • Promote social media usage within the west region, bringing forward best practices and new approaches, and sharing relevant content with the business units and west marketing team
  • Coordinate marketing events including booking logistics, invitations, registration management, onsite coordination (when appropriate) and postevent followup
  • Act as a brand ambassador. Collaborate with national marketing & communications team, Regional Senior Marketing Manager and Regional Marketing Managers to ensure brand integrity and consistency across all external and internal marketing activities including advertising, presentations, sponsorship, social media, communications, and event materials
  • Create, edit and format a variety of external facing documents and presentations using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to ensure brand consistency
  • Establish profile and credibility as a marketing professional by building and maintaining rapport with stakeholders in the greater marketing team
  • Develop an understanding of the firm's services and markets
  • Remain knowledgeable of firm marketing strategy, programs and campaigns to leverage in your projects and campaigns
  • Perform other duties as required under the guidance of the Regional Marketing Managers and Regional Senior Marketing Manager
  • Occasional travel may be required
