Jardeg is recruiting Shovels Expediter to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. team at the Imperial Oil Kearl Mine Maintenace site in Fort MacKay, Alberta with 14/14 rotation. Charter flights are provided from Calgary/Edmonton to site. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more We also have new HIGHER rates for all craft workers

Responsibilities:

The Successful individual would provide support to the shovels maintenance group by moving a variety of support gear and shovel components. The main purpose of this is to keep ahead of our shovel moves and have materials delivered in a safe and timely manner. We would supply the truck and any needed gear to complete this role.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Class 1 driver license with air brakes - must be competent to load and secure loads to a trailer.
  • Be qualified to operate a variety of equipment such as a Manlift, Forklifts. Loaders, Telehandlers and Excavators
  • Telehandler certification and experience
  • Loader experience
  • Skid Steer Training
  • Boom truck (Truck Mounted Crane) certification and experience
  • Be able to pass an Imperial Oil training assessment
  • Mining experience would be an asset
  • Be able to take direction from the shovel supervisor, work independently and follow all site safety standards
  • Ariel Work Platform (AWP) certification and experience
  • Energy Safety Canada Fall protection certification and experience
  • Basic Rigging Certification - In person
  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Forklift certification and experience
  • Excavator experience
  • First Aid (will allow a rotation expectation if needed)
  • Experience in an open pit mining environment
