As a Maintenance Technician at Layfield, you'll be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor with responsibilities that include facility and equipment upkeep tasks like inspections, repairs, custodial work, and preventive maintenance activities.
The ideal candidate should have a practical mindset, be skilled in using hand/power tools, pay close attention to detail, and be able to work independently while following all safety protocols.
How You'll Make an Impact- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and inspection of machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and replace faulty parts.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Assist in maintaining and repairing industrial machinery.
- Ensure operational stability through mechanical repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the facility.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- 1-3 years experience as a Millwright or Apprentice.
- Forklift operation experience and valid certificates are a plus.
- First aid certification is an advantage.
- Completion of at least one year of a Millwright Apprentice program.
- Welding and fabrication skills are beneficial.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read diagrams and schematic drawings.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to lift items up to 50 lbs.

Salary Range: $30.72 to $37.34 per hour based on a 37.5-hour work week. Your pay will be customized to match your experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
