Junior Maintenance Technician Job Description

Lifestyle Options is seeking a skilled Junior Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Terra Losa location. As a Junior Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing general building and property maintenance, including minor repairs, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform minor repairs on plumbing and fixtures
  • Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ensure availability
  • Assist with setup and/or movement of equipment
  • Respond to maintenance inquiries from staff and residents
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
  • Detect faulty operations and report to senior maintenance
  • Complete ground maintenance, including snow removal and sanding
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment and perform garbage pickup
  • Operate grounds-keeping power equipment and maintain external property
  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces for painting
  • Apply paint to interior and exterior surfaces
  • Work at heights and participate in Occupational Health & Safety protocols
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License required
  • Clear criminal record check completed within the past three months
  • Strong written and verbal English skills
  • Working towards a trade certificate or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance an asset
  • Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and maintain organization
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in an infectious disease outbreak environment and wear required Personal Protective Equipment
