Job Description

Position: Clinical Services Manager, Professional Practitioner

This role will be reporting to the Clinical Services Manager, Professional Practitioner.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and management of dysphagia through clinical and instrumental evaluation
  • Communication and screening/assessment and management
  • Providing clear and accessible education, resources, and referrals to patients and families
  • Completing assessments and communicating findings to patients, families, and inter-professional teams in a timely manner to ensure smooth access
  • Being an active part of the speech-language pathology team, participating in meetings and educational sessions as needed

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication
  • Computer literacy; experience with Meditech is desirable
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a dynamic medical setting
  • Capable of collaborating within an interdisciplinary team
  • Experience with videofluoroscopy is advantageous
  • Experience with tracheostomies is advantageous

  • Strong attendance, punctuality, and work ethic are essential
  • Flexibility to travel between and work at various Osler sites

Work Hours: Currently days/evenings, including weekends and holidays (subject to operational changes)
