Job Description

This role will report to the Clinical Services Manager, Professional Practitioner.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and treatment of dysphagia through clinical and instrumental evaluations
  • Communication, screening, assessment, and treatment
  • Delivering educational resources and making referrals to patients and families in a clear and comprehensible manner
  • Conducting assessments and communicating findings promptly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure streamlined access and care coordination
  • Active participation in the speech-language pathology team, including attending necessary meetings and educational sessions

Job Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication
  • Knowledge of computer systems; experience with Meditech considered an advantage
  • Capability to multitask and manage time effectively in a high-paced medical setting
  • Adeptness in working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Experience with videofluoroscopy considered a plus
  • Background in tracheostomies viewed favorably

  • Flexibility to travel between and operate at various Osler locations

Additional Details

Work Schedule: Currently includes daytime and evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays (subject to change based on operational needs)
