Your role involves delivering high-quality comprehensive care by adopting a client-centered bio-psycho-social methodology, collaborating with interdisciplinary rehabilitation teams (e.g., physiotherapists, kinesiologists, occupational therapists, vocational rehabilitation specialists, case coordinators) and interdisciplinary mental health teams (psychologists, psychotherapists, counselors, social workers, occupational therapists).

Your efforts will have a meaningful impact on the lives of Canadian Veterans coping with service-related health conditions that impede their transition to civilian life, as well as on employees in organizations prioritizing workplace health, and individuals seeking mental health support through insurance and private means.

  • Developing new mental health program content tailored to the unique requirements of diverse client groups
  • Exploring innovative methods for providing mental health services, including complementary digital therapeutic approaches
  • Applying your distinct assessment skills across various contexts, from pre-employment suitability assessments for high-risk roles to diagnostic evaluations guiding treatment strategies and psycho-social resource development
  • Providing individual and group therapy for conditions like anxiety, trauma, depression, somatic complaints, substance abuse, adjustment issues, and interpersonal challenges within the individual's psycho-social setting
  • Contributing to internal training sessions and interdisciplinary case deliberations

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (proficiency with adult populations; clinical expertise such as counseling psychology, health/rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology is an asset)
  • Conducting psychological assessments with adults for various purposes, including treatment planning
  • Experience in developing and assessing mental health programs is advantageous
  • Previous engagement in interdisciplinary teams and collaboration with third-party payers is beneficial
  • Familiarity with telehealth/virtual care methodologies is a plus
