Job Description

The Senior Manager for Data Engineering & Integrations is in charge of leading the team in charge of data engineering and integration functions to design and deliver the modernization of integration architecture, while building a data engineering capability for the Data, Automation & AI products and services. In this position, you will oversee the strategic and technical aspects of leading a refreshed integration architecture, enabling the data engineering capability in delivering data products & services as part of the Data, Automation & AI team. This position promotes an Agile delivery mindset working transparently and collaboratively across business & technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the Data Engineering and Integrations teams to provide technical and architecture leadership aligned with industry best practices.
  • Collaborate and align across business and technical outcomes effectively.
  • Develop innovative techniques and data pipelines to generate insights for both internal and external customers.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, ensuring an efficient integration and data architecture.
  • Design a data engineering and integrations roadmap, translating User stories into Task details.
  • Oversee and ensure proper documentation practices of Data Engineering and Integrations solutions.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end data pipelines working closely with other teams within the Data, Automation & AI.
  • Manage Systems Integration architecture, ensuring modern integration patterns are followed.
  • Establish and enforce an API/Integration standard, providing mentorship to ensure alignment across teams.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in Data engineering and/or Integration, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Expertise in data warehousing best practices and hands-on experience in developing large-scale data engineering pipelines.
  • Experience with data lake, data warehouse, ETL systems, and task orchestrating systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD, data architectures, and different data languages.
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Looker, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Modern Cloud Data architectures.
  • Experience in creating, testing, and supporting production software and systems.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve performance issues in production systems and integrations.
  • Experience leading teams in developing production-grade data pipelines.
  • Expertise in SQL and database management in modern cloud data architectures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
