Staff Data Engineer at a GlanceKraft Heinz IT organization is hiring for a staff data engineer who will be responsible for providing data engineering support for projects across the various Zones. The individual for this position will be a technical expert providing expertise in areas of data architecture, data management, data quality, data governance, and data engineering. They will manage internal stakeholders, facilitate the development and training of data engineers within the chapter, as well as provide hands-on design and development of platform capabilities.
What's on the Menu?- Develop and operate modern data architecture approaches to meet key business objectives and provide end-to-end data solutions.
- Contribute to building generic frameworks for data ingestion, data processing, data transformation, and data integrations.
- Implement standard methodologies for software design, architecture, and implementation.
- Implement monitoring tools/processes to ensure platform stability and operational SLAs.
- Extend DevOps capabilities for deploying data solutions.
- Act as a data owner and functional data SME for the assigned area.
- I have experience in roles delivering and supporting software and data engineering capabilities.
- I have strong design and software programming development (preferably Python).
- I have strong experience with cloud services within Azure, AWS, or GCP platforms (preferably Azure).
- Experience building APIs (experience with GraphQL is a plus).
- Experience with analytical tools (preferably SQL, dbt, Snowflake/BigQuery, Tableau/PowerBI).
- Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD processes.
- Project management experience and strong communication skills.
