The Assistant Food & Beverage Outlets Manager will be reporting to the F&B Manager.

The position will be full-time and the hours of work will be varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.


The Assistant Food & Beverage Outlets Manager will be responsible for:

  • Assists the F&B Outlets in the day-to-day operations of the Outlets (including the Restaurant, Banquets and In Room Dining).
  • Helps to implement and maintains Service Standards and customer relations. Coordinate food & beverage delivery functions with the Culinary/Banquet team & other banquet team members.
  • Maintains a visible presence on the floor and providing support to associates.
  • Assists in monitoring controls of labour, beverage costs, inventories, productivity and operating within budgeted guidelines.
  • Assists Food & Beverage Manager with processing banquet billings/invoices.
  • Communicates with associates using tools, such as development reviews, training, departmental orientation, and departmental meetings.
  • Takes an active role in training and developing the F&B Team Members.
  • Monitors and responds in a timely manner to guest requests on the hotel's social media channels.
  • Ensures department compliance of BEO specifics for every event (linens, chairs, food guarantees, tables, staging, and special items).
  • Other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Food & Beverage, previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Related experience in Banquets is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Micros POS, Amadeus and banquet billing is an asset.
  • A Degree or Diploma in Tourism Management, or related field is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends.
  • Promotions and marketing experience is considered an asset.
  • Ability to maintain a high energy level with an outgoing and upbeat personality.
  • Desire to develop, coach and train associates is crucial.
